Dear Friends,

For the first time in my career, I am taking an extended period off this summer. I just came back from New York visiting family and friends. Fuhgeddaboudit! I leave soon for a vacation by the ocean, nothing like hearing those waves. I pray all of you are getting some sort of respite from life’s craziness to enjoy summer relaxation and fun.

Unfortunately—crisis, trouble and life’s heartaches don’t take the summer off. Just this past week a friend suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, a neighbor lost a teenager in a car accident on graduation week, and a sweet woman from church miscarried. These painful realities often leave us at a loss for words, which is what inspired me to create the Comfort CD. I have received so much wonderful feedback about how this project has touched people deeply. We would love to send you the Comfort CD as a gift when you consider purchasing a CD or book now through the end of August.

Also—I will be updating you soon about my taping with Ellie Lofaro for Spaghetti For The Soul. It will be an eight part DVD series filmed in front of a live audience at the “Life Today” studio in Dallas, July 20th and 21st. All are welcome to come, and it would certainly bless Ellie and me.
