The Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa is a family resort that offers Kids Krew and Kids Night Out, programs of events and activities specifically designed to entertain children during your KT Retreat.
Kids’ programs offered by the Hilton Sandestin allows parents to truly relax and engage in the retreat, knowing their children are in the capable, experienced hands of the Kids Krew Staff. The hours of the day and night programs allow parents time to enjoy the retreat and the resort’s adult-friendly offerings, like our award-winning, championship golf, full-service spa, the AAA Four-Diamond Seagar’s Prime Steaks and Seafood Restaurant, and bars and lounges. Parents may appreciate a few hours to focus on themselves, while the kids get the chance to experience activities only offered through the kids’ programs, and form wonderful friendships, with other kids and the talented and fun-loving Activities staffers.
The Kids Krew is the Hilton Sandestin’s on-site activity staff who offer day and night kids’ programs. The Kids Krew staff is always going on adventures throughout the hotel, spending the day tie-dying t-shirts or building sandcastles. Rain never ruins the fun: On rainy afternoons you can find the Kids Krew staff painting faces, showing movie marathons and creating scavenger hunts for the entire family to enjoy! There’s plenty to entertain the little ones at Kids Krew Headquarters.
What can kids expect from the Kids Krew experience?
The Hilton Sandestin is committed to being one of the best family resorts in the Destin, Florida area. With that goal in mind, Kids Krew is non-stop fun and no two activities are the same — from T-Rex races, to pillow fights and beyond. The Kids Krew staff likes to do a lot of hands-on crafts and group activities that encourage attendees to be social, make new friends and be creative. And it’s easy to form bonds and friendships at Kids Krew — they often see groups of kids who met at Kids Krew playing together around the resort long after they’ve left the events and activities!
What is the Kids Krew staff like?
The Kids Krew staff is made up of roughly 20 members. Many folks have previously worked at summer camps or as professional nannies — providing the perfect mix of creativity and enthusiasm, and prior childcare experience. Depending on the activity, anywhere from two to ten Krew members (or more!) will staff the Kids Krew events, with a ratio of about one Krew member for every five children.
What Kids Krew activities are the most popular?
Events include “Awesome Arcade,” where kids play a live, interactive Pac-Man game – something not very many kids have the opportunity to say they’ve done! The staff even dresses up in Pac-Man ghost outfits to amp up the fun. Kids also really enjoy “Crab Hunting” and “Camp Kids Krew.” At the latter, kids get to roast marshmallows over a bonfire and eat all the s’mores they can get! The Wow Factor Science Show is also a big hit. This interactive presentation features a great scientist who makes learning a fun part of the vacation experience. The Kids Krew also does a lot of events inspired by pop culture — like a Paparazzi Pandemonium theme night for The Academy Awards, or a giant boulder run in tribute to Indiana Jones.
